My Qualifications

I have been counseling individuals, couples and families since 1995.  I also have specialized training in trauma.

I am currently licensed in the State of Utah as a Certified Professional Counselor Intern. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of the State of New York Regent's College, my Master of Science Degree is from the University of La Verne in Counseling Psychology.  Having finished my Ph.D. class work in Clinical Psychology, I am a considered a Ph.D. Candidate.  I am currently working on my dissertation and will graduate from Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center about January 2009.  To view my curriculum vitae, please click here.

Type of Counseling Used

I generally do Christian Counseling. I believe there is nothing that cannot be made better with you include God in the solution.  I can also do non-religious counseling, if you wish.

There is not one therapy that will do the best job for every problem, therefore, I also use a combination of therapies tailored to help you with your individual problems. The techniques I use come from:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Rational Emotive Behavioral Training
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Gestalt Therapy
  • Etiotropic Trauma Management - Trauma Resolution Therapy

I am a certified Etiotropic Trauma Management - Trauma Resolution Therapy (ETM-TRT) Therapist.  I have searched for a therapy to help those in trauma that would solve the problem.  ETM-TRT attacks the root of the problem which reverses the symptomology of trauma and the symptomology. Other therapies attack the symptomology, leaving the problem untouched. That is why I am an ETM-TRT Counselor!

If you would like to see how ETM-TRT works and how the therapy is done, look at the following website:
