How to Research Your Own Answers

Dear Annette,

First let me start by saying thank you for your website.  I must admit that I have not had a chance to go through it very thoroughly yet but am looking to do so.  On this same note hopefully you will be able to recommend to me certain articles that may be able to help me.

Let me start by saying this is in no way looking for any self pity, but looking desperately at saving my little family.  My husband and I have been married for six and a half years and are experiencing major problems.  I was adopted when I was an infant, have been recently diagnosed with a skeptical but very mild case of borderline personality disorder.  I am thirty pounds overweight for my height and have what they think is Lupus.

I freak out if my husband calls any of his friends or family thinking that he is abandoning me.  I have irrational feelings of anger towards anyone that wants any of his time.  I don't have any of the other symptoms of BPD such as the self mutilation or the gambling excessively, or driving or anything like that.

I am writing this to you not for free counseling but advice on where to find self help books and such so we can do it cheap.  We can't afford a lot of counseling as we have been able to in the past so if you have recommendations of books or articles you have written it would be nice to know where to start looking.

Thanks again for your website and I will continue looking in it.

I haven't written anything on this subject yet.  But there's no problem I will give you my resources as you asked and then you can research the subject for yourself.
