Your duties and responsibilities are to:
1. Work directly under the Ward Relief Society President to arrange and maintain a yearlong Pursuit of Excellence program for our sisters which has been edited by Heavenly Father through your prayers.
2. Assist, manage, and encourage the sisters in this Pursuit of Excellence Program.
3. Write a short article (approx. two paragraphs) for the monthly Relief Society newsletter on goal setting and attainment, community/church resources, or to encourage participation in Pursuit of Excellence Program.
4. Arrange suitable recognition to honor sisters for goals achieved both during the year and at the end of the year at the culmination of their efforts.
5. Stay in continual direct contact with your Heavenly Father for inspiration as to the needs of each sister. As guided by the spirit and approved by the president, contact and work with each sister on her Pursuit of Excellence.
6. Maintain and use a good resource/referral list for sisters for the benefit of the sisters and their families. Resource material should include such items as community/church counseling for rape, unwed mothers, schools, school and job counselors, grants available for the disadvantaged (Ex: the Pell Grant), family/individual counseling and etc.
7. Do a three-minute spotlight on goal setting, goal attainment, community/church resources each homemaking meeting and at Relief Society on Fast-Sunday. These should include personal testimony of the benefits of this program from sisters who have attained their goals. This to run no longer than 7-½ minutes long.
8. Devise a method of reporting goal-setting and attainment. Example:
10. Be aware that there will be goals which are of a personal nature that some sisters will not want to share with you. This is their right.
You are expected to attend the following meetings:
1. Regular church meetings to uphold a good example for the sisters.

2. With the help of the secretary-treasurer, compile and update a list of single adult women ages 18-29.
3. Assess the talents, interests and needs of all single adult sisters. Maintain a copy for yourself and give one to the Relief Society President.
4. With the Relief Society Board plan and promote ways that Relief Society can involve young single adult women in Relief Society. Share these ideas with the Relief Society President.
5. Assess the needs of the young single adult women. Suggest to the president ways that the regular Relief Society lessons can be adapted to help meet these needs.
6. With the approval of the Relief Society President, organize activities and service opportunities for the young single adults in Relief Society. Plan these with a purpose to help accomplish the mission of the Church and the Goals of Relief Society.
7. Nominate other young adult women to assist with the responsibilities for young single adults in Relief Society.
You are expected to attend the following meetings:

Her duties and responsibilities will be:
1. She helps the nursery board member to plan and carry out nursery activities.
2. There be one adult for every six to eight children, especially if there are young children in the group.
3. Nursery assistants are not Relief Society board members.
4. This assignment is rotated every three months among Relief Society members (not only mothers of young children.

Your duties and responsibilities are to:

3. Assist with the quarterly verbal report if requested by the president.
4. Ensure that you have access to a copy of the visiting teaching message printed in the Ensign each month. These messages may be duplicated and distributed for your use.
5. See that each sister on your route receives a visit each month.
6. Always go in pairs to do your visits. If your partner cannot go with you call one of the Relief Society Presidency to go with you. This important for your safety.
7. Leave your toddlers home with a sitter. Trade of baby-sitting with other visiting teachers so your attention can be on your sister. Also this eliminates the chance of your child breaking something and causing hard feelings with the sister your visiting. Young babies in arms may go with you.
8. Try to keep your night visits to a minimum. If you must do night visits, take extreme care that you are safe. Please follow there guidelines:
a. Stay together, don't pick up or talk to strangers.
b. Approach your vehicle from the rear checking under and inside before getting in.
c. Make sure your partner's vehicle is working before you leave her.
d. If you are dropping your partner off at her home, check that she gets safely inside before you leave.
You will be expected to attend the following meeting:
1. Give a verbal report of your visiting teaching, quarterly, as requested by the president.
2. Attend the Visiting Teaching Seminar each May.

Her duties and responsibilities will be:
1. Work under the direction of the ward Relief Society President.
2. Identify the specific needs of women who are ill, elderly, handicapped, homebound, bereaved, or who have other special needs. Determine with the president ways to give compassionate service. Assist in caring for the poor and needy.
3. Find ways to expand the blessings of Relief Society to women who are unable to attend meetings because they are home bound, in nursing homes located within the ward boundary, or in other such situations.
4. Assign someone to correspond with sisters from the ward who are in the mission field or the armed service.
5. Be aware of prospective members and offer friendship and support. Attend the baptisms of new convert sisters.
6. If possible, offer escort services for those sisters who will be alone when receiving their temple endowments.
7. Where possible, have daily contact with the elderly and homebound, especially those who live alone.
8. Identify skills, training, and circumstances of Relief Society members. Find out if these sisters are available to give compassionate service.
9. Keep a current record of non confidential compassionate service assignments and reports for the use of the president. Include name, date, kind of service, and hours given.

Her duties and responsibilities will be:
1. Work under the direction of the ward counselor responsible for homemaking.
2. Supervise Relief Society nurseries for homemaking meetings and Relief Society special events. Keep the nursery area clean and orderly. Organize supplies and play area before the children arrive.
3. Plan nursery activities that teach the children about Heavenly Father and Jesus. The activities should be appropriate to the children's ages, understanding, and attention spans.
4. Use The Nursery Manual and audiocassette (PXPR0267) as the approved resource for teaching. The following the suggested outline for nursery time:
5. Plan a nursery activity each month that coincides with the Home Management lesson. (See suggestions at the end of Home Management lessons.)
6. Be present in the regular nursery at all times to help the children feel secure.
7. Instruct nursery assistants in their responsibilities as outlined in The Nursery Manual. These assistants are invited to serve by the Relief Society presidency.
8. Attend monthly ward board meetings.

1. As a ward Relief Society executive officer, carry out assignments from the presidency to help accomplish the purpose and goals of the Relief Society.
2. Become familiar with the guidebook entitled The Secretary's Guide (PSCL0656).
3. Attend the ward Relief Society executive and board meetings to participate and to take minutes. At the request of the president, help prepare agendas for these meetings. Follow up on assigned items and unfinished business.
4. Obtain basic Relief Society resource materials listed in the overview chart (p.8) and Church distribution center catalogs.
5. Prepare charts, graphs, and other statistical information for the presidency as required.
6. At the president's request, draft correspondence and other written materials for her. Maintain a current file of these items.
7. Keep records, rolls, and minutes of all ward Relief Society meetings.
8. Help the president and visiting teaching board member keep visiting teaching records to be turned in to the ward clerk. All personal visits and other contacts, such as telephone calls or letters, between a sister and her visiting teachers should be recorded. Assist with the quarterly verbal reports on all sisters as requested by the president.
9. Keep a record of homemaking meeting attendance for stake and ward use. As assigned by the president, help schedule midweek, optional enrichment activities and collect records of attendance.
10. Inform the stake Relief Society secretary-treasurer of Relief Society events of historical interest. If requested, compile a history of the ward Relief Society (for local use only).
11. Work under the direction of the presidency to prepare the annual ward Relief Society budget and to disburse funds. Keep financial records and prepare periodic reports for the presidency.
