A Lesson in Logic Proving there is Life After Death...

I have a hope there is an eternity... I really want it to be so. Could you tell me how that I can know if that it is true, before I die? I really want to know.

If having a hope is all you have, that is enough for now. For now believe on my words until you know for yourself.

There is Life After Death

Christ was resurrected. He did appear after his death to his apostles in Jerusalem and again to the ancient people on this continent. While he was here He appointed apostles to run the church. The Book of Mormon is based on the teachings that were revealed to them.

Having a Testimony of the Book of Mormon is Essential

Do you believe the Book of Mormon is true? If you don't have a personal testimony of it? Get one. Even Mormons born into the church must be personally converted.

Knowing that the Book of Mormon is true is easy.

1. Read it and then think about what you read and how it made you feel.

2. Decide if what you read was true or not.

3. Now ask God if your decision is correct.

• A "Yes" answer is a burning of the bosom or a warm swelling feeling in the chest area and/or accompanied by a feeling that all is well or right.
• A "No" answer is a stupor of thought or a dull cloudy feeling in your head. Your thoughts are hard to hold on to or disappear.

4. I know that the Lord will tell you that it is true! Once that you get an answer for yourself then you will know a number of important things. These are:

1. If the Book of Mormon is true, then it must have come from the prophets of God. This means that Joseph Smith is a true prophet.
2. If Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, then he has established Christ's true church here again upon this earth in these later days.
3. If the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's church. He is at the head and gives direct revelation to the prophets for us.
4. If you have a testimony of the Book of Mormon, or of Joseph Smith as a prophet, or any of the Latter-day prophets, or that the Church is true, then they are all true together, because they are all based on each other.
5. If you believe on any of these things, then it must need be that you believe that there is eternal life, because every one of the prophets testified that it is so, and so does the Book of Mormon, along with all of the standard works. To not believe them means that you never had a testimony of them. If this is so get one.
