Guidelines for the Committee for Relief Society Socials

1. The Fall/Spring Relief Society Social is Friday, ________________at 6:30 P.M.

2. This activity is to include a dinner and social activity for husband and wife, single sisters with a male or female friend or just sisters by themselves.

3. Carry Kline (962-9542) is the Relief Society contact person for any questions for this event.

Please report to her your decisions for this event. We would like a report by _____________.

4. The theme for this social is ______________. Base the dinner, activity and /or entertainment on the theme.

5. You have $___________ for this event.

6. The ward has been reserved from 3 P.M. through the evening for your setup.

7. You may ask the Elders Quorum or other groups to help you. Example:

Asking the Elders Quorum to set up and break down the tables and chairs.
Asking the Young Men (not leaders) to serve the dinner.
Asking the Young Women (not leaders) clean up the kitchen.

8. You may not ask people to donate food.

10. You may turn in a written estimate for expenditures in order to get a check in advance.

If this is done, all receipts and unused money must be turned in with explanation of how the money was spent.
If you opt to use your own money. Keep the receipts along with an explanation of how the money was spent to get reimbursed.
